IATAN
FOUNDATION- Due Date April 1st
IATAN has
established the Ronald A. Santana Memorial Foundation (hereafter referred
to as the IATAN Foundation) in memory of the late Ron Santana, IATAN
former board member, past ARTA president and travel agency owner and
advisor. Mr. Santana was dedicated to the education of travel agents and
championed their cause.
The IATAN
Foundation provides $9,000 in scholarships annually to individuals who are
interested in pursuing, or enhancing their careers in travel. The
scholarships are not based on financial need, but are subject to certain
eligibility requirements.
Since
1998, IATAN has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to IATAN
endorsed agents, and to those who met the scholarship criteria wishing to
begin their careers in our industry.

colleges/universities in North America who are entering their junior or
senior year of study. Must be a strong academic performer and have
at least a 3.0 GPA. Degree emphasis must be in a travel &
tourism-related field, such as hotel management, restaurant management, or
tourism. Letters of recommendation, resume, college transcript, and an

Rotisseurs Scholarship Application- Due December 1st

American Academy of Chefs offers ten Chaine des Rotisseurs
scholarships, awarded annually on a competitive basis.
Scholarships are available to exemplary students currently
enrolled in a full-time two-year culinary program.
Sponsored by
the Chaine des Rotisseurs and administered by The
American Academy of Chefs, the scholarships provide culinary
students assistance toward covering the cost of culinary
programs.
Ten $1,000
scholarships will be awarded within The American Academy of
Chefs regions this coming year. The American Academy of Chefs

General
Information:
Scholarship checks are made payable jointly to the recipient and the
educational institution and may be applied towards any school-based fees,
tuition, or other expenses. Any unused portion of the scholarship grant,
by virtue of withdrawal from the program by the recipient, shall be
returned by the school to the attention of the ACF Director of Education.
Successful
applicants will be required to submit an appropriate letter of thanks and
a transcript or other written documentation from their educational
institution indicating active enrollment status prior to issuing of the
check.
Applicants
who are not awarded an ACF scholarship will be notified of their standing
and may reapply during successive award periods by submitting a complete
new application, therefore, it is highly recommended that the applicant
keep photocopies of all supporting documentation.

Hospitality Scholarships
These
scholarships are available to CULA, HAMG, and TRVMs at Austin Community
College. The maximum amount of each scholarship will be $500. For

applicant must:

currently enrolled as an Austin Community College student in good
standing and hold a GPA of at least 3.0 for all courses taken at
Austin Community College within the last three years. Only courses
taken at Austin Community College during the last three years will
be considered in awarding the scholarship.

successfully completed at least one course in the Hospitality
Program. Successful completion is evidenced by a grade of a C or
better in each course.

semester in which the scholarship is awarded.

goals in the Hospitality field.
