Since the introduction of the iPad in March 2010, the hospitality industry has been a driver in finding innovative, creative and consumer centric methods in which to adopt and utilize the many features the tablet has to offer. We are using iPads in the classroom for hands-on learning on apps that all facets of our industry is using on a day to day basis. Sabre is a Global Distribution System used around the world to handle the volume of reservations by travel agents, car rental companies, hotels, airlines, rail provides and cruise lines. Our students have access to this system and in our Travel Automation II course learn the ins and outs of this must know technology that is used in our tourism industry.
