ACColades

Every day, many ACC employees go above and beyond their job duties to assist students, the public, and other employees. ACC encourages its employees to take the time to present a Cheers! award when co-workers have exhibited one or more of these valued behaviors: exemplary teamwork, inspirational integrity, uncommon quest for quality, noteworthy customer service, magnificent morale building, phenomenal professionalism, remarkable communication, and other outstanding service.

Purpose of the Program

To provide a visible and powerful way to communicate and reinforce the performance behaviors and outcomes most important to ACC's success with a focus on improving employee morale, customer service, employee wellness, communications and professionalism.
To encourage the achievement of high productivity within the context of excellent service to the internal and external customer.
To encourage and support the achievements of individual and collaborative work groups or teams.

The Process

An employee may recognize the work of another employee at any time. Each semester, nine employees who have received Cheers! certificates will be selected to receive additional ACColades awards.

Who will choose ACColades winners?

A committee on each campus will decide which Cheers! recipient has made the greatest contribution to ACC and its community during the semester.

How will this work?

The first step is to catch an employee doing something outstanding! Then...

Complete a Cheers! form located in Human Resources or Campus Managers' Office or contact HR at 223-7577 to receive a form. You can also access the form online at the link listed below.
Give the original to the employee and a copy to their supervisor.
Place the pink copy in the ACColades receptacle in your Campus Manager’s office or Human Resources for HBC employees or ACColades box in Facilities and Operations for SVC employees.
Present the award one-on-one, at a staff meeting, through campus mail, or through the employee’s supervisor.

What will ACColades winners receive?

Each semester the winner on each campus will receive:

2 hours of recognition leave as approved by their supervisor;
an ACColades Certificate;
a designated ACColades parking space for one semester;
a gift certificate for dinner for two at a designated restaurant; and
semester winners will be listed on the ACColades web page.
