  “ Charles' work has gone beyond exceptional throughout the entire Cypress building and renovation process. He has packed, moved, unpack, and reorganized lab equipment and supplies for all Biology labs, not only once, but twice. He worked with and around contractors and repair persons while managing to keep the labs operational. he served on hiring committees to select employees for new lab assistant positions. He did all this in addition to his regular prep work, planning and duties. Charles had demonstrated exemplary team work and dedication to the college, his colleagues, our faculty, and our students. ”

  “Nick has introduced new courses and methods of delivery for our department including introduction of new mortgage banking program courses, introduction of new IVC and PCM instructional delivery of courses-previously not available and introduction of 2 and 4 week real estate courses combined with continuing education in order to better serve the real estate department. Nick does not expect standards and/or behavior that he is not willing to do. During the SACS re-certification process in the past few years he has willingly and cheerfully took real estate brokerage classes along side his professors in the department. Nick is consistently fair in his dealings with department professors. He stimulates our active participation in advisory meetings by all professors. He reminds us that no one of us has "domination of good ideas". He fairly schedules classes according to ACC rules, professor abilities and experience, as well as department need. ”

  “Since Jerry started with ACC he has been a valuable member of the team. He supports our projects and trains us when needed on AutoCad. He has helped to make our work life a lot easier. Additionally Jerry has taken over District signage and has done a great job with it. We have Jerry to thank for getting the new HR cheers recipient signs in place. Lastly, Jerry worked with DAT Solutions to have our archive drawings scanned and indexed. Everybody on our staff now has easy access to drawings! Thanks Jerry! He is always timely with his work and very responsive. He follows through with all work orders and provides excellent customer service. He is always very cheerful and a pleasure to work with. ”

  “Warren is the ‘go-to’ guy at Cypress. He manages our phones and computers. He works tirelessly to keep our email service, personal computers, faxes, printers, and phone service available to us. Cypress has been in the midst of construction for several semesters. Warren has worked nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure that faculty and staff would be ready and able to serve students from day one of the spring, summer and fall semesters. He has done all of this with a smile and sense of humor we all value and appreciate. He ranks off the scale when it comes to professionalism, excellent customer services, and a true servant spirit.”

As an hourly instructor teaching off-site in the evenings, Joyce was often my only connection to the ACC staff. Each time I cam into the office to get my mail and make copies, she welcomed me with a big smile and an open heart ready to listen and help in any way. I felt valued and appreciated. Joyce is a very industrious, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable problem solver. She has a win-win attitude, focusing on success and making the most of her experiences. During my last semester at ACC, she saw in my something greater than I could see in myself. She encouraged me to get my master's so I may continue to make a strong contribution in the field of ESL. Today I am in San Antonio. I start school in two weeks. Joyce embodies and demonstrates all of the qualities listed above and is a very worthy recipient of the Cheers! Certificate.   "Pat went beyond the call of duty to help a number of local high school students register for summer classes. A computer glitch delayed the registration process. Pat worked with the student, their parents and the academic department to complete the registration. Pat provided outstanding customer service which truly exemplified our mission statement, to eliminate barriers in the educational process."
