The ACC Academy is open to all full-time ACC faculty and staff members.
The goal of the academy is:
- To develop the leadership skills of ACC full-time staffing table employees who demonstrate future leadership promise
- To foster the presence of effective leadership in higher education
How will I benefit from the program?
Participants will have opportunities to:
- Enhance their leadership skills
- Foster personal and professional growth
- Gain hands-on leadership experience
Who is eligible to participate in the program?
The ACC Academy is open to all full-time ACC staffing table employees. The 2012-2013 academy class will consist of not more than 20 participants, representative of the diversity at ACC.
How will participants be chosen?
Participants will be chosen based on their demonstrated commitment to ACC, their potential for professional growth, and their long-term goals.
What is the time commitment?
Selected participants will be required to attend monthly interactive sessions from September 2012 through May 2013. Other time commitments include attending at least one ACC Board meeting, participating in a project, and meeting with a mentor at least once a month.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please know that although we try our best to prevent any schedule changes for Academy activities, such changes may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. In addition, please be aware that the Academy graduation may occur during the time period after classes end and before summer classes begin.
