Supervisor Series - Online: HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) The federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act is
designed to ensure that everyone's health information is kept private
and secure by all persons who handle, or have access to, that information.
All ACC supervisors are required to complete this training module. After
the online module is completed, the user will take a quiz about the
material and the results will be sent to the Professional Development
Office so that a record of completion may be kept. Supervisor Series: Budget TrainingTopics covered will be responsibilities of the budget authority, clarification
of related terminology, base budget, budget transfers, and the use of
Datatel as it relates to the budget process. Supervisor Series: Business Services Overview Attendees will learn about procedures related to the following areas
within Business Services: Controller's Office, Purchasing, Accounts
Payable, Asset Management, Restricted Accounts, Cashier's Office, Student
Accounting, and Student Account Analysis. Supervisor Series: Environmental Health, Safety and Insurance - Modules I and IISupervisors must understand and apply successful management and leadership
principles to safety and health issues to ensure that employees enjoy
an injury- and illness-free work environment. These key elements of
supervisor responsibility and accountability will be introduced: complying
with the law, providing resources and support, conducting safety training,
identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, and enforcing safety rules.
These two modules must be completed before Modules III and IV. Supervisor Series: Environmental Health, Safety and Insurance - Modules III and IVUnderstanding and dealing with policies such as Workers Compensation
can be overwhelming for supervisors. These modules will address the
basics of the laws, policies, and procedures utilized in Workers Compensation
claims and outline the steps that must be taken. This workshop will
help you gain the basic skills necessary to conduct an effective accident
investigation at your workplace, identify the underlying causes of an
occupational injury, and to identify and implement the appropriate changes
to minimize or eliminate the risk of recurrence. Supervisor Series: Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) ACC provides family and medical leave to employees in accordance with
the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Participation in this session
will help you understand the supervisor's role in the FMLA process.

procrastinate or how you would feel if you didn't do it? Join others
to discuss some helpful strategies for conquering this all too common
problem. Microsoft Excel BasicsThis workshop introduces you to the spreadsheet features of Microsoft
Excel. This hands-on workshop covers creating and managing workbooks,
editing and modifying worksheets, formatting, basic formulas and functions,
and printing. ACC Allies TrainingThrough the Gender and Sexuality Program, the Office of Student Life
offers a training program that provides ACC students, faculty, and staff
an opportunity to become Allies to the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/ Transgender/Queer
community. Through the training program, participants explore common
misconceptions, cultural features, heterosexual privileges, and the
effects of homophobia. This training gives faculty, staff, and students
the tools they need to be able to provide adequate services and support
to all ACC students regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
Photoshop ElementsPerfect and transform your digital photos like a pro. Introduces participants
to an inexpensive, easy-to-use image manipulation program that will
enhance and organize your photos. Microsoft Word: Tabs, Tables and Columns Using tabs, tables and columns in Microsoft Word enables you to enhance
documents. In this workshop you will learn how to create, move or delete
tabs, how to insert and form tables and create newspaper-style columns.
You should have completed the Microsoft Basics workshop or have equivalent
experience before taking this workshop. A and E CAD Open House and Information SessionThe Engineering Design Graphics (EDG) Department is now Architectural
and Engineering Computer Aided Design. Since advisors play a key role
in getting students into the right classes and on the right career paths,
we'd like to invite advisors, deans, administrative assistants and campus
managers to attend this information session. After we tell you about
the courses we offer, our degree plans, career opportunities and the
salary ranges of our graduates, we'll give you a tour. We'll also demonstrate
what CAD software can do and show actual projects students have completed.
