Domestic Violence
Domestic violence is a pervasive problem that occurs among all ages, cultures, socioeconomic groups, genders, and educational backgrounds. In domestic violence, one person obtains and maintains control over another; this results in behavior changes on the part of the targeted individual. The behavior creeps into the workplace and needs to be addressed. You will learn about signs and symptoms of abuse in survivors and abusers, the effect of trauma on survivors, strategies for talking with survivors and potential perpetrators and managing performance issues.

Teleconference: Strategies for Teaching Math Online
Starlink Teleconference: Dr. G. Donald Allen, Associate Head for Operations and Director of Technology Assisted Instruction in the Department of Mathematics at Texas AandM University, has been applying technology to the teaching of mathematics at the K-20 levels for more than ten years. Dr. Allen has been a regular contributor to the ICTCM Short Course series and to the annual meeting where he serves on the Executive Steering Committee. Sandwich Generation
Many of today’s elderly are vigorous and active into their eighties and nineties; but when they decline, their abilities can diminish rapidly and their adult children can suddenly find themselves members of the ‘sandwich’ generation - raising school-aged children while caring for their own parents. This seminar provides tools and resources for coping with care giving issues involved in the care of multiple generations while not overlooking the care of oneself in the process.
