Latest Developments

It’s "Evaluation Time.”

Important Announcements:

  • Materials for all evaluation sessions have been mailed out.

  • 12-week sessions were mailed out 11/5/08 and need to be completed by November 26th.

  • Faculty teaching 16-week classes need to have evaluations completed by November 26th.  Consult the evaluation window on your pink envelope packet for other sessions (2nd 8-week or 12-week sessions, for example) or go to www.austincc.edu/hr/eval/calendars.php#eval.

  • For the 16-week session: If you have not received your packet by 11/10/08, fill out a request at: www.austincc.edu/hr/eval/requests/evalrequestform.php; please make sure to give us the instructional method (lecture, lab, clinical) so we send you the correct forms.

  • Some 16-week course evaluation packets are still being re-routed—be patient.

  • Portfolios are due the first week of November of each year unless your chair has communicated otherwise—more details are available online about portfolio 3-year rotations.

    the new evaluation process

  • Use ballpoint pens on our Class Climate forms. Your envelope may say to use pencil, but use ballpoint or felt tip pens if possible.

  • Do not use old scantron forms (bubble-in greenish forms). The forms we use now say Class Climate on them; an image of what they look like is at www.austincc.edu/hr/eval/assessments/ONLYLec.pdf. If you are short of forms call 223-7745.

  • If a course was entered into datatel after 8/25/08, there is a high likelihood that no evaluation packet was created; if in doubt, please double check with our office.

  • January 09—Professors will now receive their reports at their ACC e-mail; Department Chairs will receive CDs for the department, one to archive and one to use as needed.
