Profile

jerod moralesNew Addition to Professesional Development

Jerod Morales has joined the Professional Development and Evaluation Programs staff as a Professional Development Technology Specialist (the big guy in the picture - not the little one). Jerod worked as a Media Technology Specialist at Riverside for two years and later on free-lanced as a Web Developer in Austin. He freely admits to being a technology geek and has been seen reading technology magazines in his spare time.

Jerod was raised in Denver City, not to be confused with Denver, Colorado, as it is a small town in west Texas. "There are really no trees and no grass either. It is pretty much just brown," said Jerod. But he broke free at 18 and dashed off to the big city of Lubbock to study Electronic Media and Communications at Texas Tech. From there he made his way to Austin, but not before he dallied awhile in New Mexico, where he met his wife April. Well the picture tells the story as seven months ago, he and his wife had baby Eli. While he is still involved with hobbies like running, playing guitar, and piano, life has calmed down a bit from his days when he jumped off a mountain hang-gliding in Rio de Janiero.

Jerod will be assisting the department with web development as well as helping with technology training and special projects. Welcome Jerod!
