Beginning-of-Semester Info Packet - (http://www.austincc.edu/faculty/newsemester/) This resource offers you a wealth of information on everything from the semester calendar to pay dates, to where to find a first aid kit on your campus.  Printing off the entire packet is a good idea.

Note: You will receive a hard copy of this packet in your home campus mail box at the beginning of the Fall semester.

Faculty Handbook

Faculty Handbook You should take the opportunity to read through all portions of the ACC Faculty Handbook (http://www.austincc.edu/hr/FacultyHandbook/). The portion entitled "Additional Topics for Adjunct Faculty" addresses Recruitment and Hiring, Eligibility Lists, Appointments, Workload, Scheduling, the Adjunct Faculty Association, Adjunct Faculty participation at ACC, and a Summary of Responsibilities.

Organizational Reference

Another important resource for you at ACC is the Adjunct Faculty Association (AFA).  By joining and participating in AFA activities you can meet other adjunct faculty members, both in your profession and in other disciplines in the college.  These colleagues can share their experiences with you and make your first semesters at ACC easier and more satisfying.
