A unique partnership between the Austin Independent School District (AISD) and ACC to advance college and career opportunities for high school students.
Manages the operation and administartion of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs delivered by Austin ISD to AISD students.
Support & assistance provided for: Curriculum Implementation, Professional Development, College & Career Activities, Data Acquisition, CTE Program Development, Instructional Support, Tech Prep and College Connection, and Early Start Initiatives

The College Connection partnership opens doors to the variety of options that exist beyond high school.
ACC provides hands-on, one-on-one support to assist every student through each step of the college admissions process.
During the May graduation ceremonies, each graduating senior will receive their acceptance letter to ACC.

The Early College Start program allows high school juniors and seniors residing in the ACC Community College District service area to take up to two ACC courses per semester.
Students can earn college credit by taking ACC classes at their high schools, at any ACC campus, or other ACC location.
Distance Learning courses also are available. In addition to college credit, students may earn credit toward their high school graduation requirements by completing dual credit courses.
Financial need may exempt students from this fee. For students who reside within ACC’s taxing district, ACC classes are tuition and fee exempt.

“P-16” is a term used to describe the goal of creating a seamless educational system of public education. It refers to the spectrum of Pre-School through college completion. P-16 initiatives are designed to respond to the challenges of Texas' Closing the Gaps initiative. |
The goals of P-16 initiatives are to maximize student success by: reducing drop out rates, reducing the number of high school graduates needing remedial education, increasing participation in higher education, increasing the numbers completing college degrees and certificates, ensuring a qualified workforce necessary to support economic development.
Students begin courses of
study in high school and
continue in a community or
technical college. Combine academic and technical courses needed for success in college AND that begin to prepare students for a career. Students in Tech Prep programs can earn college credit through:
