i am acc

I was actually one of those high school students that everybody expected to succeed--high class ranking, honor society, scholarships. But after my first semester at U.T. Austin, I knew I wasn't ready for college. I quit to work full-time in clerical jobs, but I don't think I ever failed to enroll in at least 1 ACC course each semester. I took classes all over town--Rio Grande, Reagan HS, Westwood HS--chipping away at my general education requirements and re-building my self-confidence. When I finally returned to U.T., I graduated with a B.A. in English, and minors in French and Spanish. I wasn't an honor student, but I was a good writer and an even better learner. I continued on at UT to earn an MS in Community and Regional Planning. And in my 2nd year I was awarded a coveted University Fellowship. If ACC had not been there for me, with its flexibility, small classes, and inspiring instructors, I would not be who I am today. Thank you so much ACC!
