I never thought I was very smart, but by my late thirties with a wife and son, and another on the way, I saw the importance of a good education to get ahead in life. I took classes nights at ACC while working a stressful job by day. After a few years, I finally got my associate degree. ACC gave me a firm foundation and the confidence to continue with my education and earn a bachelor’s degree from Texas State at the age of 54, and finally a master's degree from UT at age 56. It's never too late to start a new life. ACC and I have proven that. Starting at ACC was the smartest thing I did.
