Ceramics in Monteverde, Costa Rica
July 5-30, 2009
This arts program will take place primarily in three locations: San Jose, Monteverde, and San Vicente. San Jose is the largest city in Costa Rica where you will learn about
its rich culture and history through various museum visits. Monteverde is known as the jungle in the clouds. It is in this lush, tropical environment where you will study ceramics under the instruction of Ishmael Soto. In San Vicente, you will work alongside local artisans, learning the ceramic traditions of their ancestors, the Choretega Indians.
