Program Site: This program takes place at La Universidad de San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru.
Duration: Pre-travel classes in Austin: May 24 and May 25-27, 2010.
Classes in Peru: May 27-June 25, 2010
Pre –departure orientation May 12 & 24, 2010
Description: Students will travel to Lima, Peru to participate in anthropology classes, taught by an ACC Instructor. The program will include visits to museums, archaeological sites and weekend field trips. The cultural immersion will make the classroom seminars more vivid and relevant.
Courses and Credits: Anthropology/ANTH 2302 and ANTH 2389. 6 ACC Credits.
Accommodations: Multiple occupancy rooms in a residence hotel located in the Miraflores neighborhood of Lima.
Activities and Other Program Features: Most activities and site visits take place in and around Lima.
The program includes several excursions to archaeological sites.
Eligibility: Students must interview with Professor Karen Bell and attend pre-departure classes . All ACC students welcome to apply.
Program fee:
$1700. Includes airfare, excursions and host university fees.
Not included: $1600– ACC tuition, books, passport, International Student ID, accommodations, meals, local transportation and personal expenses
Scholarships: Funding is available through the Campus Activity Board and the ACC Board of Trustees Scholarship Program
