When College Connection began in 2003-04, it served one school district (San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District) with one high school. Today, it serves 59 high schools in 24 school districts. This would not be possible without the solid support of superintendents, district personnel, registrars, principals, counselors, technologists, and project advance staff such as you. The scope and quality of our partnerships with our area school districts has become a model for other colleges and universities across the state and nation. Thank you for leading the way.
Central Texas students report that the two most influential steps that help them plan to go to college are talking to a college advisor and filling out a college application while they are still in high school. These activities are two of the four steps of the College Connection Program. More than 55 ACC staff members support these steps on your high school campuses each year. Through College Connection, we strive to grow the college-going culture, increase postsecondary enrollments, and graduate more Texans into the workforce or four-year universities.
I hope that this website assists you with any resources you need for College Connection. You will find links to the events we have scheduled at your high school, to ACC 101, to Apply Texas, to the College Connection Fact Book, and more. Whenever you have questions, please contact the College Connection office at 512-223-7084, and we will be happy to assist you.
