Writing Workshops
-
To receive
credit for the writing workshops, you must bring to class on the assigned
day for the workshop a complete draft of the assigned paper.
-
You need to
do the paper we are working on even if you do not have previous papers accepted.
Other people in class will read your paper, making comments and answering
specific questions. You will receive 5 points for bringing a complete paper
and 5 points for answering the questions about another student's paper.
-
"Complete"
means reasonably close to the required word count and following all the
requirements in the assignment. (Papers 4 & 5 must include documentation
and works cited lists.) This paper is a draft that you should expect to
rewrite, but it should be the best you can possibly do¾not something
you scribbled down at two in the morning the day of the workshop.
-
You will need
to take home the draft and make corrections according to the comments before
you turn in your finished copy, the draft copy and the comments to me.
-
You may not
turn in a paper to me before the previous paper is accepted.
-
You must be
present with a complete draft of the required paper on the day of the workshop
to receive points for the workshop. No make-ups will be arranged.
