Orientation for English 2342 ITV and PRN

 

 

Part I: General Orientation

 

Step #1: From the ACC webpage find and open Blackboard. Go to “getting Started” and learn how to use the system. Open and print the syllabus. The syllabus will tell you all you need to know about the course. Proceed to purchase your texts available at all ACC Bookstores.

 

 

Step #2: The syllabus includes a link to OPC home page where you can find and print the Viewing Schedule, not required for PRN course. In the OPC page, double click schedules, scroll to your course (2342), click on 12 or 16 weeks, print the viewing schedule. This page also includes valuable information for all OPC students.

 

 

Step #3: This syllabus is your contract with your instructor; read it carefully, especially all guidelines and requirements.

 

Step #4:  In your instructor’s webpage or blackboard, double click on Student Information Sheet; respond to all questions, sign the sheet and fax/ deliver/ mail to your instructor immediately. Without this, you are not officially in my course.

 

Step #5: E-mail your instructor to verify that you have completed this orientation and include any question about the course.

 

 

After you purchase the textbook and the study guide proceed to Part II of this orientation

 

 

Part II: How the Course Works.

 

 

The Syllabus, Textbook, and Study Guide are the three most essential sources for learning. The syllabus will lead you to Lessons in the study guide, Literary Visions. The syllabus will tell you which “steps” in lesson assignments are important and what to read.

 

All other instructions, messages, assignments, will be in BlackBoard. Check blackboard daily.
