Problem: If a3 = p2 and a = 2 then p = ? If p = 8 then a = ?   Answers: If a = 2, then a3 = (2)3 = 8 = p2 and p = square root (8) = 2 X square root (2) If p = 8, then p2 = (8)2 = 64 = a3 and a = cube root (64) = 4   Back to Algebra
