CIT/CSC Coursework Substitions and Waivers
|
- The CIT/COSC Task Force regularly surveys local industry and businesses to determine
the best selection of coursework for students to study in order to prepare for the local
workforce. However, there are occasions where students plan to transfer to another
college which has different course requirements, particular coursework is not offered in
accordance with a student's graduation plans, or where alternative coursework better
meets the career goals of the students. Additionally, some students may wish to waive
degree requirements due to experiencein the field.
- Students wishing to substitute or waive coursework on a CIT/COSC degree plan based on
transfer needs, career goals, schedule conflict, or experiential credit need to contact a
full-time CIT/COSC faculty member. Students wishing to substitute or waive a CIT/COSC
course who are not CIT/COSC majors need to contact the
department chair. This process requires written approval signed by the Department Chair
and the
Registrar's Office.
