| Vocational |
- A vocational degree means that you will learn a computer specialization, but
this degree is
not directly transferable* to a BS or a BA at a
four-year college or university. Students wanting a traditional four-year
college degree should consider the traditional transfer
degree plans below.

Traditional Transfer Degrees |
- ACC has two degree programs designed to be part of a four year degree computer
concentration program at a four-year school, the Computer Science degree and the
Business Administration degree.
- The Computer Science degree plan is the recommended degree for students
planning to study Computer Science at the four-year institution. Both the AS and
the BS degrees in Computer Science require higher level courses in mathematics.
If you are a student in this degree plan at ACC you will take the majority of
your Computer Science courses at the four-year school.
- The Associate of Science degree in Business Administration is the recommended
degree for students planning to study computers in the Business school at a four-year
institution. One option is a degree specializing in Computer Information as it applies
to Business, often called MIS (Management Information Systems) or CIT (Computer
Information Technology) at the four-year institutions.

* Not Transferable? |
- Bachelor of Applied Science (BAAS) degrees
- Some colleges have Bachelor of Applied Science (BAAS) degrees which are inverted
degrees where the student who has completed an AAS degrees is allowed
to count that degree as the major coursework for the BAAS at that four-year school.
Not all four-year colleges offer a BAAS degree and of those that do, they may not offer
it in a computer studies field.
