Download the Course Information Handout: You should download and print the Course Information Handout right now and read it very carefully. Keep this handout with your class materials. This handout contains textbook information, software information, my grading policy, your weekly assignment and testing schedule, and lots of other very important things!
Information About the Text and MyMathLab: Our textbook is Elementary Algebra, 8th edition, by Bittinger and Ellenbogen Click here for a picture of your book and additional information.
MyMathLab Information: MyMathLab is required for this course. Please read the Information about MyMathLab handout. This handout contains purchasing options and login information.
Set up your ACC email account: I will use your ACCmail address for all email communication. If you use a different email address, be sure to set up your ACCmail to forward to the address you use.
Complete the Online Orientation: Log on to Blackboard and complete the online orientation. Please complete the orientation by June 1st to ensure you are not dropped from the course.
Complete the Pretest: A pretest is required in this course. Log on to Blackboard and complete the pretest. You need to score 70% or higher on this pretest. You may use the Prerequisite Review to help you prepare for the pretest. Please complete the pretest by June 1st to ensure you are not dropped from the course.
Note: ACC is upgrading to a new edition of Blackboard this summer. Blackboard will be unavailable now through May 23rd. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Log on to MyMathLab: Follow the instructions in the Information about MyMathLab handout and register in MyMathLab. You will then log on, and you will be ready to begin your lessons for week 1. You will see announcements and further instructions from me there. Happy Learning!
