Student Assistance Director Terry Bazan served as expert
panelist for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's
financial aid training March 1 for THECB Participation and
Success Committee.
The Culinary Arts program has been accredited by the American
Culinary Federation, the national governing body of chefs and
chef instruction.
Kathryn Schwartz, adjunct associate professor of financial
management, has authored the articles "By the Book: Preparing
Austin for an Emergency" and "Steeling the Competition,"
published in the Winter 2006 edition of St. Edward's
University Magazine.
Soon Merz, vice president of effectiveness and accountability,
addressed the March 7 Friends of Round Rock Higher Education
Center meeting. She provided an overview of Central Texas
statistics that reinforce the importance of Austin Community
College in achieving the goals of Closing the Gaps.
