Professor Jeff Stringer has been elected chair of the newly formed Speech Department, created as part of the recent collegewide reorganization.
Dr. Mary Hensley, vice president of college support systems and ISD relations, presented “Removing Barriers to Higher Education” for the Texas Association of School Boards’ Summer Leadership Institute, held June 14-16 in San Antonio.
For the second consecutive year, the localization organization ClientSide News has honored Austin Community College with the 2006 Excellence Award for localization educational services. The award was presented April 26-28 at the ClientSide News Expo in Miami.
Continuing Education hosted a four-day video games curriculum workshop May 23-26. Educators from 24 Texas colleges attended.
