ACC
has an excellent faculty and staff, and great programs and services!
We know this from several sources -- transfer studies by the Texas
Higher Education Coordinating Board show that our students do as
well or better than students who begin their education at the
four-year college or university level, from business and industry
experts who serve on our Advisory Committees and who are eager to
hire our students, from community leaders and organizations who
request us to help them address complex community needs, external
community research surveys, student satisfaction surveys, and from
the thousands of people who enroll every semester and place their
trust in us.
We
are also fortunate in having a governing Board of Trustees who have
asked us to share with them on a regular basis the good news
about ACC and its achievements. The Board includes, as part of
its regular monthly meeting, an agenda item in which we share the successes of our faculty, staff, and students. I
consider it an honor to highlight and profile YOUR successes,
and hope that you will take time to share with me examples of the
great things happening at ACC. It is important that we take
time to acknowledge our achievements and to thank those
responsible for the great reputation ACC has earned in the central
