Lyman Grant is a writer, teacher, and educational administrator living in Austin, Texas. Currently, he serves as Dean of the Arts and Humanities Division at Austin Community College. There, he supports an educational philosophy of access and excellence, believing that all students should have access to quality education, and believing that community colleges can be instrumental in inspiring students to creative and critical thinking in a multicultural and international setting.

Beginning in September, 2007, this web site will be going through a complete revision. This site will become the source to many of Lyman's writings that have appeared in periodicals and books that now may be difficult to find. It will house class materials when Lyman teaches. In addition, this page will provide links to people, organizations, and ideas that have been important to Lyman over the years.
