ACC wants to help you get where you need to be. That’s why the college is continually working to meet parking and transportation needs – by expanding the number of parking spaces and finding ways to reduce the number of cars on our campuses.
Go Green – Try to use alternative forms of transportation. Check out campus-to-campus Capital Metro routes here. In January 2010, ACC will begin a pilot program called Green Pass, which will provide free Capital Metro passes to students and employees (pending Capital Metro Board of Directors approval). For other ways to bypass parking congestion and help the environment, visit our sustainable transportation web page.
Current Parking Projects – ACC is constructing a new parking lot at the Pinnacle Campus. It will create approximately 438 new parking spaces when it opens in fall 2010. The college just opened a parking garage at the Rio Grande Campus, which provides more than 500 new spaces.
Parking Guidelines – Parking permits are required and may be purchased at the cashier’s office located on each campus. As of fall 2009, the fine for parking in a space reserved for persons with disabilities is $50. All other violations will result in a $25 fine. Check out parking regulations here.
Be Safe – Campus police are always available to escort students and employees to their cars. Simply contact the ACC Police Department at 223-7999. You should have your keys ready when you approach your vehicle, and keep your doors locked, even when you are sitting inside your car.
If you have parking questions or concerns, contact your campus manager’s office or ACC Police. You can also send us a message.
