0370 Online Elementary Algebra
How Do You Complete The Orientation?
Orientation for this course
will be done online (over the internet), which means that you will not attend an
orientation session. Remember that the only way I will be able to contact you
with important announcements for the class is if you submit the orientation
form. Please complete the Orientation Form as soon as possible, and no
later than Friday, September 26, 2008. If you do not complete the
orientation form by the deadline, you may be withdrawn from the course. To
complete the orientation, please do the following:
 | Read through all of the course materials on the
internet. These course materials are all linked to Stephanie Lochbaum’s MATD

| Complete the Prerequisite
Review for Elementary Algebra. You will need to report your score
on the Prerequisite Review on the Orientation Form. |
| After the first day handouts for your semester are
posted, and you have read all information in these handouts and on the web,
complete the online Orientation Form. |
Fill out and submit the
Orientation Form, which asks for the following information:
- Your name, mailing address, home phone number, work
phone number, cell phone number, and e-mail address (you must have an e-mail
address)
- Answers to the following questions about the course:
| For which course are you registering?

| Do you know your TSI status, and if not, whom should
you contact immediately? |
| What is the name of the textbook for this course?
|
| Once you have opened the cellophane covering the
textbook, will you be able to return the book to the bookstore?
|
| What must you do to validate your license to use the
software that comes with the book? |
| Where may you go (at any of the 7 main ACC campuses)
for free tutoring for this course? |
| What toll-free telephone number may you call for free
technical support? |
| What is the deadline date for taking the final exam
(and finishing this course)? |
| In which ACC Testing Center will you take all of your
exams for this course? NOTE: This is your choice, but you must select only
one so that each Testing Center will have the appropriate number of exams
