What's the Difference between MATD and MATH/MTH Mathematics Courses?

At Austin Community College, courses with an MATH or MTH prefix in the catalog and in the schedule are college-credit mathematics courses. Courses with a MATD (formerly DVM and PAR) prefix are developmental mathematics courses; that is, they are designed primarily to prepare students for college-credit courses. The Mathematics Task Force makes curricular decisions for both MATH/MTH and MATD courses. You may want to read the Statement of Purpose for the Mathematics Task Force.
