Welcome to Medical Office Procedures POFM 1309 |

Medical Office Procedures is a course designed to introduce student’s to the business of running a medical office. The main project will have the student build a fictional medical practice from the ground up including creating a mission statement, compiling a professional library for staff, and reviewing TMB regulations. We will also explore OSHA guidelines as they pertain to the medical office practice.
Students should be prepared to research articles on assigned subjects and present an oral presentation on a current medical topic. Past topics have included presentations on Ethics and Law, childhood hearing loss and diabetes. |
