Medical Administrative Assistants are also sometimes referred to as Medical Secretaries are most often employed in physician offices but may also work in outpatient medical clinics and hospitals.  Some duties may include:

· Arrange for hospital admissions and laboratory services,

· Answer telephones,

· Greet patients,

· Handle correspondence,

· Schedule appointments,

· Handle billing and bookkeeping.
