COMPETENCIES

You must demonstrate competency for the following skills:

  • Correctly perform and interpret a serial dilution.
  • Calculation of dilutions.
  • Correctly perform a serological kit test by following the written procedure from the product insert.
  • Determine acceptability of results by evaluation of quality control.
  • State the criteria for acceptance and rejection of clinical samples for each test performed.
  • State possible interferences which may cause false positive and negative results.
