Unit 11 Assignments - Gene Mutations

  1. Read Chapter 9 in your textbook.
  2. Give a brief description of the techniques used by filling in this "Detection of Gene Mutations Techniques Chart" . (This chart can be referred to during Exam 3) Submit to BlackBoard by the digital Drop Box
  4. View the animations at "Understanding the Human Genome Project"
    Start with "Mapping" and simply click "next section". Most of the animations are less than one minute long.
  5. Review the article "Primer on Medical Genomics Part II: Background Principles and Methods in Molecular Genetics " from the Mayo Clinic. Click on "PDF". Excellent graphics.
