IMPORTANT

  1. Print out this webpage prior to the Blood Smear lab: http://www.alpha-scientific.com/Diff-safe2.html.
  2. Review the streaming videos illustrating the "Preparation of Blood Smears" for microscopic analysis. Click on the links under "Laboratory".
  3. We will be repeating the capillary (finger) blood collection procedure. Please review Laboratory 4.
  4. If time permits we will also repeat venipuncture.
  5. Please print out the page "Proper Activation of Safety Needle" from Laboratory 2. Keep this by your side during venipuncture. Several of you are continue to activate the safety needle in an incorrect manner. You MUST follow the manufacturer's guidelines.
  6. For lab we will view the Blood Smear video.
