At the moment, I am teaching distance learning courses in the following
subject(s):
- College Algebra - I will be teaching an online College Algebra course in the Fall of 2009. I will be posting information on that course sometime in July. Just FYI in the meantime: We will be using the same book as the regular classroom course starting this fall (though it is a new edition, so you won't be able to use older books) along with the MyMathLab software. You are required to buy the software (available online or in the ACC Bookstore), but buying a printed copy of the book is optional (you can read it all online). There will be online homework and quizzes, as well as written homework that you must turn in, along with 4 tests and a comprehensive final exam (which must be taken in one of the ACC Testing Centers). Check back in mid-July or so for complete details. If you aren't sure if you are really ready to take College Algebra, please go to the ACC Math Department's Prerequisite Review Sheets and work through the one for College Algebra. See the Math Advising page for more information on this.
- Elementary Algebra
I will probably teach more of these courses over time.
If you are interested in some of the other internet accessible material
I also offer, you might want to check out my Mathematica
Resource Pages. (This is primarily of use to students at the Calculus
level or above who are interested in Mathematica, a very cool computer
math program.)
