Welcome to the website for my distance learning College Algebra course.

(I suggest you bookmark this page)

As you have probably noticed, I was just assigned this course a few days before the start of the semester. I am trying to get everything posted and ready to go as quickly as I can; I may be making a few minor changes to these pages between now and the first day of class, but I will send around an announcement if anything major changes. (I don't plan on making any major changes to the schedule, but I may need to make a few tweaks to the test reviews, for example.) The Blackboard information posted by Professor Kelton will be changed as soon as ACC gives me access to the Blackboard page; the policies posted on this website are the official ones for the course, replacing those posted earlier on Blackboard.

Warning: Please understand that this is an 11 week class, which means we are going to be covering the same material we usually cover in 16 weeks in only 11 weeks (31% less time). This means you need to get started right away and stay on schedule; there is no time to take a "vacation" after you finish each test - you need to get back on the computer and start working on the new stuff right away. You will be covering 3 or 4 sections in the book each week and there will be a test every 2 or 3 weeks; I'm not trying to scare you, but I want you to understand what you are getting into before you start. If you don't really have enough time to devote to this class (think upwards of 15-20 hours a week - seriously), then you really should wait and take this as a 16 week class.
