How to Register
Before you register, please be sure you have verified the following:
- Are you sure you are in the right level math class?
- Are you sure you are ready to take a math course by distance learning
using computer software?
- Do you have access to a computer that satisfies the minimum system
requirements for this course?
If you aren't sure about any of these, go to my Advising
page for more information. If you have already checked on these things,
you are ready to register for the class.
Register for the Class
If you have not already done so, please register for the class. For
more information about how to register, please refer to ACC's printed
Schedule of Classes or go to ACC's
Home Page website and follow the links to the current course schedule.
If the class is full, please check the web regularly, especially during
Adds and Drops to see if a space has opened. Reload or refresh the web
page frequently to see the most current information. Unfortunately,
there are no waiting lists for full classes.
After that, in order to enable me to communicate with you by email,
IMMEDIATELY fill out the Orientation
form, part 1.
Notice that filling out any of my orientation forms DOES NOT
enroll you in the course. It is your responsibility to check whether
you are still enrolled after your payment deadline. It is possible to
check
your enrollment online. (If you don't have access to ACC's online
services, or find that it isn't working right, read the FAQ from the
upper right corner of that screen. I can't help you with any of that
-- you must go through the procedures outlined there.)
Buy the Textbook and Supplies
The book for this course is PLATO (may also be called "Academic Systems")' Interactive Mathematics
Elementary Algebra (Personal Academic Notebook). Please be aware
that this is different from the books that are used in the regular lecture
sections of MATD 0370 (Elementary Algebra). The price includes the book,
the computer software (3 CDs) packaged with the book, and your license
for using the software. Go here
for information on buying the textbook (VERY IMPORTANT) and here
for a list of other supplies you will need.
