"I think the course will be very easy. What's the minimum that's required?"

If you complete the required software homework and quizzes assigned for each week by Friday at 5 p.m., you earn the participation grade without any additional communication. See the topic about the participation grade on the Grading page.

If you complete the required software homework and quizzes at a very high level of accuracy, and you make grades of B+ or better on each of the tests, you will not be penalized for omitting some or all of the paper homework. See the last topic on the Grading page.

If this seems like more work than you need to do to learn the material, then this is not the right course for you.

If you do enroll in the course and then fall behind, you will be required to do substantial work on the course on at least five different days during every week until you catch up. If you do not keep up with that, you may be withdrawn from the course.
