Learning the material in a section of the course, like section 1.1. Four methods - you choose which.

  1. Read the section in the paper textbook, then work online homework, then paper homework, and then, after two or three sections, work an online quiz.
  2. Read the section in the electronic textbook, then work online homework, then paper homework, and then, after two or three sections, work an online quiz.
  3. View a video explaining the section in the software, then work online homework, then paper homework, and then, after two or three sections, work an online quiz.
  4. Omit getting prior explanation, work the online homework, using the help within it, then the paper homework, and then, after two or three sections, work an online quiz.

Explanations in two parts.

  1. One part is how to find the online homework and quizzes.

(The screenshots are too small to read much. They are provided to show you what you should be seeing in the software as you follow the directions. Read the material in the software, not on my illustrations.)
Explanation: Do that by clicking on either the Online Homework link or the Online Quizzes link (upper left of the screen) in the software. From either of these pages you get to a page where you have a choice of ways to view the assigned material in the course - Homework only, Quizzes only, All, or just the material for a single chapter. This is your main organization page for your work in the software.

Discussion of how to use this is under the Course Documents link in the software.

  2. The other part is how to find the electronic version of the textbook and the videos explaining the sections.

Explanation: These are all available from the Videos & Textbooks link (upper left of the screen) in the software. The crucial thing is not to get lost in all the things available here. Go to the listings of the chapters at the bottom of that page and pick a chapter and then a section. In the section use ONLY THE FIRST TWO options, which are the videos and the multimedia textbook. You may use the other options after you have begun doing the required work in the course and completed a few sections. But don't get distracted by all the options and let them divert you from the required work.
