MATH 1333, Mathematics for Measurement

RAINBOW HORIZONTAL LINE

This course focuses on bringing together mathematical ideas from algebra, geometry, and other areas of mathematics to investigate measurement. Students and their faculty advisors from previous semesters have told me that it has been particularly useful in helping them to see how to use mathematics to think more clearly about some of the topics in their majors, such as art, biology, chemistry, physical therapy, welding, building trades, and other areas where measurement issues are important.
