FAQs:
Can I just use the e-book in StatsPortal and not buy a hard copy of it? Yes, although some students find it more useful to be able to read the book as a book instead of always having to be in the internet to work.
Can I just use the Crunch-It software that comes with new copies of the book and not use MINITAB? It is very useful. But I will expect you to do some problems in Minitab, but few and with plenty of notice. .
Why do I need any of the software at all? The used book doesn't have it. There are MANY resources in the software. You have are spending a lot of time and money to take this course and if you try to save a bit of money by not buying all the resources you need to learn the material, you are likely to waste the time and money you put into the course. Students find statistics a challenging course - here and at almost all schools. Give yourself the advantage of getting the tools you need to learn it!
