Using your ACC student email account

November 2008

We have been told that, starting in Spring 2009, the ACC student email address will be the official way that ACC communicates with that student - replacing paper mail.

So, if you have not yet signed up for your ACC email account or are not checking the email from that account regularly, it is time to start doing so. Find information about getting started here.

In my classes, starting in Spring 2009, all of my messages to the class will be sent to the official ACC email addresses of the students. If you are in one of my Distance Learning classes, you can give me a different email address on the first Orientation form if you haven't set up your ACC email address yet, and I will start communicating with you individually at that non-ACC email address. I definitely want to be able to contact you to help you get started on time and with appropriate materials.

I also want to support you in the process of getting your ACC email address set up, if you haven't yet done that. I am not an expert on solving all problems with it, but I can help some, and can find someone to help you more.

After the course begins, I am supposed to only contact you from your ACC email account. If you send me a message from a different account, at the end of the message, give your ACC email address so that I can easily copy and paste it into a message to use to reply to you.
