The very first thing you should do is apply for a Web directory.
If you work for ACC, you may get a Web directory from ACC. Depending on how busy they are at the time, it may take up to several weeks for your request to be processed. So, as soon as you're interested, apply for one.
If you want to get a personal page not connected with your place of work, there are a number of places available. I like Geocities. You'll receive your password and address within hours of the time you apply. They also have excellent editing programs and other kinds of help. I wrote about my experience getting started with Geocities in the spring of 1997. If you want to read it before you start, do so. However, it also works to just start!!
