Dec. 4.
Draft online withdrawal

form - Send comments to Mary Parker

I believe I have incorporated the comments that have been sent in. If I haven't incorporated yours, please tell me.

No one volunteered to write more full explanations of any of the resources or most of the consequences. A couple of people said the full lists were too long and confusing. So I have cut back each list to only four or five, and have written explanations of each.

If most of you will tell me your responses to the following questions by Wed. Dec. 7, we can have a better draft ready before the meeting this Friday.

1. Do you have any comments on any pages EXCEPT the list of consequences or the list of resources? If so, what?

2. Should we include a longer set of consequences - not on the main list, but as "additional consequences?" If so, will you suggest which should be on it and will you suggest wording for the "more explanation" part of each? Previous longer list.

3. Should we include a longer set of resources - not on the main list, but as "additional resources?" If so, will you suggest which should be on it and will you suggest wording for the "more explanation" part of each? Previous longer list.

4. Should the shorter list of consequences - which shows first on the interactive form - have any different items in the list? If so, what?

5. Should the shorter list of resources - which shows first on the interactive form - have any different items in the list? If so, what?

6. Do you have suggested re-wordings for any of the "more explanation" parts of the consequences?

7. Do you have suggested re-wordings for any of the "more explanation" parts of the resources?

Other recommendations (as suggested in our last meeting.)

2. We will not try to present equivalent information / questions for phone registration because that is just not realistic. So we will recommend that the capabilities for the phone registration system and the online registration system not be kept strictly synchronized as the college has been committed to.

3. We are still discussing whether we will try to implement changes in the paper withdrawal system to allow for equivalent information to be presented as that we will present online.

4. We will recommend that the system be set up to allow instructors to do online withdrawals as soon as that can be conveniently implemented.
