Both Sexes

• rapid to slow return to unaroused state

• ? heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing

• relaxation

Males

• loss of erection

• testes descend

• scrotum thins

• refractory period - cannot achieve an orgasm

Females

• clitoris descends

• labia minora and majora close and fade in color

• capable of return to orgasmic peak at any time
