Mathematics Courses 2001-2002
Updated material for all courses will be available from this website after
August 10, 2001. (Possibly sooner.)
If you want general information about the courses, feel free to use the 2000-2001
documents. Much remains the same from year to year. Of course, the textbooks
change fairly frequently because they go into new editions.
The required materials will change in these courses:
- MATH 0370 Elementary Algebra. Will use a text by Angel from Prentice Hall.
(Same as for 0390)
- MATD 0390 Intermediate Algebra. Will use a text by Angel from Prentice Hall.
(Same as for 0370)
- MATD 0370/0290. Will use a text by Angel from Prentice Hall. (Same as for
0370 and 0390)
- MATH 1316 Trignometry. The 7th edition of the same text was used beginning
in January 2001 and will be used in 2001-2002.
- MATH 1332 Topics in Math. The 4th edition of the Tannenbaum text was used
beginning in January 2001 and will be used in 2001-2002.
- MATH 1342 Elementary Statistics. The textbook and materials remain the same,
except that the Distance Learning class will use additional
materials.
- MATH 1350 New course. Uses current edition (copyright 2001) of Bassarear
text.
- MATH 1351 New course. Uses current edition (copyright 2001) of Bassarear
text.
- MATH 2412 Precalculus. New text by Connally, Hughes-Hallett, and Gleason
from Wiley.
- MATH 2413 Calculus I. The 2nd edition of the text will be used beginning
in Fall 2001
