MATD 0390 Intermediate Algebra (DVM 1193)

(Three credit hours, four lecture hours per week during a 16-week semester, no lab hours)

Catalog description: A course designed to develop the skills and understanding contained in the second year of high school algebra. Topics include review of properties of real numbers, functions, algebra of functions, inequalities, polynomials and factoring, rational expressions and equations, quadratic functions and their graphs, solving quadratic equations, and exponential functions, the same course is offered in a one hour (0190) and a two hour (0290) format. Prerequisites: C or better in Elementary Algebra, MATD 0370, or its equivalent knowledge, or appropriate score on the placement test. (DVM 1193)
