DVM 1173 - Elementary Algebra

(Three credit hours, four lecture hours per week during a 16-week semester, no lab hours)

Catalog description: A course designed to develop the skills and understanding contained in the first year of secondary school algebra. Topics include arithmetic of positive and negative numbers; products and factoring; algebraic fractions; and equations. Prerequisites: C or better in Prealgebra, DVM 1153, its equivalent knowledge, or a passing score on the DVM 1173 placement test.
