MTH 1533 - Modern Math II (Texas Common Course Number MATH 1336)

(Three credit hours, three lecture hours per week during a 16-week semester, no lab hours)

Catalog description: A second course designed for elementary education majors and liberal arts majors emphasizing areas of elementary school mathematics not included in MTH 1523. Topics include: probability and statistics, geometry, measurement, and coordinate geometry. Prerequisites: same as MTH 1523. Students are encouraged, but not required, to take MTH 1523 before MTH 1533.
