You will need to have between twice and three times as many hours
outside of class as hours in class available weekly for study
outside of class in order to succeed in this course. Your instructor
will provide details on grading, homework, tests, and attendance
for your section in a separate handout. For now, be aware that
attendance is required in this course. Your instructor may withdraw
students who have more than four absences, but makes no commitment
to do so. Should you wish to withdraw, do it yourself; the deadline
is listed in the semester course schedule.
Incomplete grades (I) are given only in the rarest of circumstances.
Generally, to receive a grade of I, the student must have taken
all tests, be passing, and experience a personal tragedy after
the last date to withdraw that prevents course completion.
